How we use your personal information.

1. Who we are

ShootDay is provided by 3rd Sector Tech, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under number ZC092818. For anything about your information, email support@shootday.co.uk.

2. Your club and us

Your club decides what it holds about you, and we hold it on the club’s behalf. Questions about your membership record are best put to your club first. Your ShootDay account itself, your login, name, phone number and settings, is ours to answer for, and you can ask us about it directly.

3. What we hold

Your name, email address and phone number.
Your applications and memberships at each club: the type, the dates, the status and what you paid.
The record of each certificate your club has checked: the type, the number, the expiry date and the club’s decision. The certificate itself is deleted once the club has checked it.
Your bookings, your attendance and any guest you brought.
Whether you have agreed to receive news, separately for each club and for ShootDay.

We never see your card details. They are entered directly with Stripe.

4. Why we use it

To run your membership and bookings, under your agreement with your club.
To help your club meet its legal duties, including checking certificates and keeping a record of who was on the range.
To take payments and keep the financial records the law requires.
To email you about your own application, bookings, renewals, expiring certificates and waiting-list places. These are service messages, and are sent whether or not you have agreed to news.
To send you news from ShootDay, only where you have asked for it.

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it. A club that writes to its members does so itself, from its own email.

5. Who sees it

Your club’s administrators, and a range officer for a session they are running. Other members never see your name, only that a lane is taken or how many places are left. One club cannot see your membership of another. The companies that help us run the service are listed on our sub-processors page.

Your club can take a copy of its own membership register, including your certificate details. Every copy is logged.

6. Where it is kept

In the United Kingdom. A small number of the services we use operate elsewhere, with the safeguards the law requires; they are named on the sub-processors page.

7. How long we keep it

Nothing is kept beyond the reason it is needed.

Your club’s record of you is kept while you are a member and for a period afterwards, which your club sets and states in its own privacy notice. After that, your name, contact details and certificate numbers are removed from it.
A certificate is kept only while the club is checking it, then deleted.
Your ShootDay account is kept while you use it. An account with no membership and no open application that has not been used for a year is closed, after we have written to you.
Deleted information can remain in backups for up to thirty days.
If a club stops using ShootDay, its records are returned to it and then deleted.

8. Your rights

A copy of your data. Download it yourself at any time from Settings.
Correction. Your name and phone number are yours to change under Settings. A club can correct its own record of you.
Leaving a club. From that club’s Membership page.
Deletion. Close your ShootDay account from Settings once every membership has ended and no application is open. Each club keeps its own record for the period above.
News. Switch it off or on, for any club or for ShootDay, under Settings.
Anything else. Ask your club about its record of you, or email us at support@shootday.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how a request was handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

9. Under 18s

You need to be 18 or over to hold a ShootDay account.

10. Cookies

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. What we do store in your browser is on our cookies page.

11. Changes

We will update this page if how we use your information changes. The date it was last updated is shown alongside it.
